The Board of Ennis 2040 DAC has acknowledged the resignation of its COO Kevin Corrigan who is due to depart in January 2025.
Ennis 2040 Designated Activity Company (DAC) was established by Clare County Council to plan and develop the strategic sites identified in the Ennis 2040 Economic and Spatial Strategy which have the potential to transform Ennis. Since joining the DAC in 2021, Mr. Corrigan has spearheaded development plans for several of these sites and overseen the acquisition of additional key locations. The acquisitions are seen as instrumental to the successful delivery of the Strategy
Chair of Ennis 2040 DAC, Gerry Cahill said, “I would like to thank Kevin for this passion, steadfastness and the role he has played in laying very strong foundations for the next phase of development. We were fortunate to have someone of Kevin’s caliber to drive the initial stage of the projects. While we’re sorry to see him leave, we wish him well in his future endeavours. As a board we will continue to work with Padraic McElwee, Head of Enterprise, Clare County Council pending the completion of a recruitment process to appoint a new Chief Operating Officer, to ensure the continued development of the Ennis 2040 DAC projects in the long-term interests of Ennis and its stakeholders.”
Mr Corrigan said, “I would like to thank the Council, the Board and the talented team at Ennis 2040 for their support over the last three and a half years. Throughout that time, my focus was to safeguard, invest in and maximise Ennis’ strategic assets that are critical to its future growth. While now is the right time to explore other opportunities, I look forward to watching the regeneration of Ennis into the future.”
