Cllr. Mary Howard was elected Cathaoirleach of Clare County Council in June 2020 for the year 2020/2021. Mary has a strong sense of locality and community, and volunteers actively within the Tidy Towns and many other local charities and community projects. Mental health issues such as suicide prevention, addiction, depression and anxiety are of utmost concern to her. She is committed to taking measures to maximise the natural resources enjoyed by Ennis and to exploit the opportunities afforded to Ennis due to its close proximity to Galway and Limerick.
