Dates for Public Engagement Events on Post Office Field Announced

April 19, 2024

Clare County Council together with Ennis 2040 DAC is inviting residents and stakeholders in Ennis to come along to public drop-in events as part of the Post Office Field development public consultation.

Dates have been scheduled to allow members of the public to view the plans that are in development and meet in person with the project team.

The public engagement drop-in events are taking place at the Civic Room, Waterpark Campus, Drumbiggle Road, Ennis (Eircode V95 RR72) as follows:-

Wednesday, 24th April from 18:00 to 20:00

Thursday, 25th April from 17:00 to 19:00

The proposed development will consist of an elevated boardwalk designed around river biodiversity, habitat and wildlife.  The boardwalk will also provide connectivity and spectacular views of the town’s historic heritage and create a new destination for people to meet and socialise in the centre of Ennis.

The purpose of this Public Engagement is to invite the public and interested stakeholders to view the plans of the proposed development and provide comments and feedback.  This information will be taken into consideration by the design team in the final design.

For anyone who cannot attend the events but would like to learn more and view the plans, they are invited to visit:

  • Clare County Council’s Have Your Say Portal from 24th April to 9th May 2024
